隨著城市化的持續(xù)快速推進(jìn)，人口流動成為我國社會科學(xué)界長盛不衰的研究課題。沿海大城市是流動人口的匯集地，流動人口在這里工作、生活，見證了城市的成長、繁盛，分享著現(xiàn)代文明的成果，也體驗著異地生存的艱辛。與此同時，城市也因流動人口而有了新的能力、新的秩序、新的價值，適應(yīng)高流動性成為新時期城市社會管理的新需要。為了檢視近期相關(guān)研究的新成果，思考和交流新時期流動人口與城市社會的互動、互適關(guān)系，華東師范大學(xué)中國現(xiàn)代城市研究中心擬與有關(guān)研究機構(gòu)合作，于2008年12月在上海召開“人口流動與城市適應(yīng)”學(xué)術(shù)研討會。有關(guān)事項通知如下。

    鑒于流動人口問題的廣泛關(guān)聯(lián)性，會議的名稱及我們所列的主題僅是為論文應(yīng)征者提供一個參考，我們歡迎有興趣的研究者、管理者、實踐者就流動人口有關(guān)的理論、實踐、管理及政策等廣泛問題提交論文。
論文摘要及全文的提交與錄用：
1、  參加會議人員需向主辦方提交論文。論文摘要提交截止時間為2008年10月31日。摘要應(yīng)包括論文題目、作者姓名、單位、聯(lián)系方式、摘要正文、關(guān)鍵詞（3－5個）。摘要字?jǐn)?shù)在500字左右，文件格式為MS Word。
2、  論文全文提交截止時間為2008年11月28日。論文全文應(yīng)包括論文題目、作者姓名、所在機構(gòu)、摘要、關(guān)鍵詞、全文與參考文獻(xiàn)。中文論文請附英文摘要及關(guān)鍵詞。
3、  請通過電子郵件將摘要與全文以附件形式發(fā)送到：jyu@mail.ecnu.edu.cn。
4、  大會組委會將組織對收到的論文進(jìn)行審核，符合會議主題和學(xué)術(shù)規(guī)范的論文的第一作者將被作為本次會議邀請的正式代表。
5、  大會組委會將對入選論文進(jìn)行編輯整理，會前印刷論文集。未公開發(fā)表的論文，經(jīng)作者同意，會后將由主辦方結(jié)集出版。
會議資助：
1、  會議不收取注冊費；
2、  參會者交通費自理；
3、  正式代表會議期間的餐費由主辦方承擔(dān)；

Conference on
The Floating Population and Urban Life Adaptation
Shanghai, 12-13 December 2008

Call for Papers
     With the ongoing urbanization in China, floating population has become an enduring research subject in social sciences. Spatially, the floating population is mostly concentrated in coastal cities, where they work, live, witness the growth and prosperity of the cities, share the achievements of modern civilization, and experience the hardships of life away from home. Meanwhile, thanks to the floating population, the cities have acquired new abilities and formed new orders and new values. Adapting to high mobility has become a new necessity for urban social management in our time. To provide a platform for exchanging the latest research progress in this field, and to explore the interactive relation between the floating population and cities, the Center for Modern Chinese City Studies, East China Normal University (ECNU), will host the Conference on The Floating Population and Urban Life Adaptation in Shanghai on 12-13 December 2008, in cooperation with several academic institutes.
